Kindle fire for kids

I downloaded the Android mobile app 3.0.21, with a lot of work i got it to install in the kids profile but it will not play any media. Am I out if luck with this or is there a version for the Kindle Fire 5th gen?

I sanitised my domin name out of the log

 

Just a few mins ago. I enabled debugging and then tried to stream a few episodes

What version of android does this run? Can you try this version and see how it compares:

Fireos 5.6.2.0 which I believe is Lollipop.

Enabling the use of an external player works, but it requires a second click to play media

Scratch that, there's no audio on any of the media unless the default is stereo

 

Edit: installed VLC as the external player and now I get audio.

 

This is not an ideal solution though as it's for a child
