xsasx 4 Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 (edited) Hi All, Setup : Kodi : latest nightly Kodi Server (docker) : 3.4.1.0 Kodi Companion : 2.0.3.0 Kodi Plugin: 3.1.33a I have the problem that my sync and databse updates never finished. If i start kodi it say with an popup that the last sync not finished and want to add the new updates / also it want a resync of the database. This will be interrupted after a few min or sometimes a bit longer with a pop up that an error occure and i should restart kodi. If I do the same pop ups come again (not finished want to resync and readd new content) if i accept this it will be interrupted again ... Also tried readd database / repair and also setup all fresh Anyone has an tip? Edited November 6, 2018 by xsasx
Angelblue05 4132 Posted November 6, 2018 Posted November 6, 2018 Post your Kodi log so I can see why it's not completing, thanks.

xsasx 4 Posted November 8, 2018 Author Posted November 8, 2018 just want to ask if it exist any news here ? or you didnt had the time to check the logs ?
xsasx 4 Posted November 9, 2018 Author Posted November 9, 2018 No, all standard configuration with 2 Shares /Movies and /Seasons nothing fancy
Angelblue05 4132 Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 @@xsasx Your log looks fine to me? Did the error pop up?
Volkmar 14 Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 I don't know if this help, bit I've had the same issue earlier on an Android Box with CoreElec. The reason was a "glitch" in the Kodi database. Only a complete new installation of CE fixed it.
xsasx 4 Posted November 10, 2018 Author Posted November 10, 2018 @Abgelue05 Yes comes a pop up after view min of sync - I have attached you that one. I have reinstalled Kodi few times - don’t think that’s the problem! Also a few weeks ago don’t remember the version I had for emby - it worked ...
Volkmar 14 Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 (edited) @@xsasx What hardware is your system running on? Are you using the same system for emby server and Kodi? Have you tried to use the Beta Reposity (emby for kodi 3.1.4a)? Edited November 10, 2018 by Volkmar
xsasx 4 Posted November 10, 2018 Author Posted November 10, 2018 Nope the Kodi is a dedicated HTPC and Emby is on my OMV NAS You mean Beta Server or client ? How can I update to it under docker if you mean a server beta ?
Volkmar 14 Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 Please try to install the emby for kodi add-on in the beta version, not the server.
Volkmar 14 Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 You will find it in the emby repository in Kodi
xsasx 4 Posted November 10, 2018 Author Posted November 10, 2018 Have 3.1.34a now seems the newest available - but same problem ! Also after databasereset
Angelblue05 4132 Posted November 10, 2018 Posted November 10, 2018 New log? In beta I've added more logging so hopefully we'll find the cause. 1
Volkmar 14 Posted November 11, 2018 Posted November 11, 2018 The only thing I can imagine now it have something to do with your environment. Maybe it's something have to do with Docker or that Kodi don't respond to emby that the scan is finished, but that's something maybe @Angelblue05 can figure out much better than I can.
xsasx 4 Posted November 12, 2018 Author Posted November 12, 2018 here we go - fresh logs ! Stopped working at 25% (Simpsons was actually scanned) kodi.log 1
Angelblue05 4132 Posted November 17, 2018 Posted November 17, 2018 (edited) Sorry xsasx, I wish I had more time to spare. I have looked at your log,was your server still working when the crash happened? Can you try decreasing the paging values in the addon settings > sync? Try 1 download thread, and disable artwork caching. Maybe the sync becomes too intense for your server that it stops responding. 17:39:50.886 T:1900 NOTICE: Emby.emby.core.http -> ERROR:: 503 Server Error: Service Unavailable for url: Edited November 17, 2018 by Angelblue05 1
Volkmar 14 Posted November 17, 2018 Posted November 17, 2018 (edited) @@xsasx maybe try to run the emby server outside the docker environment. I assume you are using a self-made NAS (OMV) so maybe this hardware isn't fast enough or docker don't supply enough resources or bandwidth as needed. @@Angelblue05 Thanks for the server update on Synology. The preview pictures for categories are back :-) Edited November 17, 2018 by Volkmar
