My Emby Server in Unraid NAS never gets subtitles automatically

I already have Opensubtitles plugin installed.  I also input user name and password.  What else needs to be done for it to automatically get subtitles for TV and Movies?  Don't want to press get subtitle button in Kodi every time I play a TV show.  

 

Furthermore, at times when I did press the get subtitles button in my kodi, and downloaded the subtitle, whenever I stop, and play the movie or TV show all over again, I have to download the subtitle again, and it doesn't show it automatically.

Hi, when the subtitle scheduled task runs, that's when the downloads will happen. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks !

Thanks, will give it a shot.  Any way to add new subtitle plugins?  Or is it only opensubtitles?

Are you saying aside from Opensibtitles, there are other plug-ins for subtitles?

 

A follow-up question. I think the subtitle may be running already. It gets subtitles on its own following your advice to run the schedule. Next question is how to allow kodi to show it immediately when playing, and not go into subtitles and enable them manually

Yes there is SubDB and in the beta versions of the Emby server there is Podnapisi.

 

About kodi, if you go to settings -> Playback -> Language tab, you can set a preferred language which will automaticly enable if available. Als you can setup a auto-download feature (enable Expert at the bottom) for the ones where Emby downloaded an wrong subtitle version for so it nice and user-friendly.
