Why did my layout on emby.media change but not directly logging into my server port?

As the title states, emby.media layout was just like my layout if i logged into localhost:8096 but now its different?

I'm not using any custom CSS on the port, and I've not changed any settings, it was fine earlier today, its also changed on my nVidia Shield android TV app too.. really frustrating as this was one of the things I liked about Emby, how it handled TV Shows.

Hi.  The online web app is always a little bit ahead of the current release so you are just seeing changes that are coming in the next release.

Understood, but why the change?

 

It was one of the only small things that set it apart from Plex, the way Emby displayed TV Shows on the home screen was perfect. Now its just like any other media server available.

 

Can you not make this an option server side?

Any ETA? As it just feels like a feature has been taken away in this case. Its literally the only reason I moved from Plex to Emby...

I can't offer an ETA, sorry, but in your main shows list  you still have the ability to view thumbs there if you prefer.

+1 for either putting it back to thumbs and / or a choice. I like a bit of variety between thumbs and posters, especially as they're different categories. (Never liked mixtures within a category, but its nice between different ones).
