PenkethBoy 2068 Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 The HP SAS expander works fine - i have 24 drives (HDD) hanging off mine with the correct break out cable it should work fine with that enclosure The HP card only needs power - does not need to be plugged into a m/b pcie slot if you are short of them I suspect the enclosure needs SAS drives internally even though it has sata connectors on the exterior
