sillyus sodus 0 Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 I can't seem to stop the server creating season.nfo files that use the naming convention Season X. I'd like it to pick the name from my folder structure (Series XX) like it used to. I gather that I need to turn off season metadata scraping from the internet, which I have done, but every time a new series is added a season.nfo file appears in the folder with Season X in the name field. I've tried various combinations of settings and refreshing after deleting the file and/or renaming manually but I can't get a new series to appear as Series XX. Are there other settings I need to change or steps I need to take?
Luke 42085 Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Hi, we don't currently have any settings regarding the nfo file name. You'll need to just turn off nfo saving if you don't want this. Thanks. 1
sillyus sodus 0 Posted October 28, 2018 Author Posted October 28, 2018 Is that in Settings > Server > Library > Libraries Tab > "TV Library" ... Manage Library then untick TheMovieDb under Season metadata downloaders? Do I need to do more than this?
Luke 42085 Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 No, that's completely unrelated It is nfo file saving that you want to disable. It is actually off by default so this means you would have had to enable it to be getting it in the first place. 1
sillyus sodus 0 Posted October 28, 2018 Author Posted October 28, 2018 Is that in the same place under Metadata savers (untick Nfo)? Will that stop scraping and saving the metadata for the show (tvshow.nfo) and each individual episode .nfo as well?
Luke 42085 Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 It will stop saving to local media directories, yes. It will not stop downloading internet metadata. Those are controlled by other settings. 1
sillyus sodus 0 Posted October 28, 2018 Author Posted October 28, 2018 So no way to turn it off just for season.nfo only?
Luke 42085 Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 No, if you uncheck nfo for your TV library, it will apply to series and episodes as well.
