Misant 0 Posted October 26, 2018 Posted October 26, 2018 I have a 3 node docker cluster with 2TB storage running emby on it with limited redundant storage and a larger storage server with non-redundant storage(10TB+). The docker cluster is set up that 2 nodes can fail and it still keeps running and can still stream media to the wife and kids so they keep quiet in case 1 node fails and i have time to fix it. But I only want to keep the new media on the cluster because of the limited storage. I'm looking for a way to move all media that is older than xx days to the larger storage server. I don't mind that being down till I can fix it, the demon lord and little vampires can still watch the newest episodes. Has Emby a function build in that can do this moving of media for me, or will I have to get creative with cronjob and a script?
SkyBehind 23 Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Well if you make use of drive pooling software (like mergerfs), you can then have a scrip that will move the files to whatever drive you want, but it will be transparent to Emby. Emby will still see it as the same file path. Maybe that will help?
