Detecting Credits and Intros

I don't know if this is built into the API anywhere or not, but is there any ability to detect when the end of a program is near, or the credits are being displayed?   Same with any intro's for a show or movie.  I'd like to implement something like Netflix's play next functionality, but don't necessarily want to wait until there are like 3 minutes left in a program as it is in exact.  Programs end at different times and particularly movies, have varying lengths of credits.
