seppolind 0 Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 Is there a way to set the convert task to keep the original audio.
Luke 42077 Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 Hi, there is no explicit setting, but it will keep the original audio if it already matches the target criteria. Can you go over an example? thanks.
seppolind 0 Posted October 21, 2018 Author Posted October 21, 2018 a lot of my video is ac3 5.1 at 384 bitrate.
Luke 42077 Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 Then if you select the TV profile it may keep the original audio. Thanks.
seppolind 0 Posted October 22, 2018 Author Posted October 22, 2018 so looks like some files will fail if on tv profile and others will fail if on mobile profile, I have to create 2 conversion profiles. Is there another way to resolve this?
Luke 42077 Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 Can you please describe this in more detail? what does "files will fail" mean?
seppolind 0 Posted October 22, 2018 Author Posted October 22, 2018 if you go to the server and click on download and sync where it shows conversion progress it says failed.
Luke 42077 Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 Please attach the emby server log. You can learn how to do that here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/739-how-to-report-a-problem/ Thanks.

Luke 42077 Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 Hi, are you sure this is from when the conversion task ran? I don't see any conversion jobs being run in this log file. thanks !
seppolind 0 Posted October 23, 2018 Author Posted October 23, 2018 I have found a video that is successful on this log and there were 4 failed ones. https://drive.google.com/open?id=19xJZY6CeTZeZ6H-NgBgN5K1NUh4pe0xC
Luke 42077 Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 It looks like the server does not have permissions to transfer the file: 2018-10-22 22:18:36.134 Error App: Error transferring sync job file *** Error Report *** Version: 3.5.3.0 Command line: /system/EmbyServer.dll -programdata /config -ffmpeg /bin/ffmpeg -ffprobe /bin/ffprobe -restartexitcode 3 Operating system: Unix 4.12.4.1 64-Bit OS: True 64-Bit Process: True User Interactive: True Processor count: 4 Program data path: /config Application directory: /system System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path '/media/TV Shows/Mayday/Season 1/1x01 - Racing The Storm (American Airlines, Flight 1420).mp4' is denied. ---> System.IO.IOException: Permission denied If you solve your file permissions, then that should resolve this. please let us know if this helps. Thanks.
seppolind 0 Posted December 16, 2018 Author Posted December 16, 2018 Have found that most will fail convert on TV profile but will work if choose Mobile profile. Have also found it will always fail if file is mp4, has to be mkv. Have tried correcting permission issues, and have tried now on a different computer, same result. Permission issue should also fail on mobile profile not just tv profile.
seppolind 0 Posted December 17, 2018 Author Posted December 17, 2018 it does not ever start converting, when you go to download & sync it say failed. See attached screenshot
Luke 42077 Posted December 17, 2018 Posted December 17, 2018 This is resolved for the next release of Emby Server. Thanks !
seppolind 0 Posted April 4, 2019 Author Posted April 4, 2019 new release has been out for a while now and still not resolved. Have noticed on some files if i select bitrate 4mpbs it will work but when 8mbps or original quality it will fail.
Luke 42077 Posted April 4, 2019 Posted April 4, 2019 @@seppolind, have you tested with a new conversion job?
Luke 42077 Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 Can you please attach the emby server and conversion logs? You can learn how to do that here: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/739-how-to-report-a-problem/ Thanks.
