adrianwi 279 Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 Over the last week or so, I've had some weird issues with emby in my FreeNAS iocage jail. I've created a few threads with specific issues, but I think the problem relates to FreeNAS being stuck in limbo between FreeBSD releases. FreeNAS 11.1-U6 is the latest production release but is build on FreeBSD 11.1 which is now EOL. Updating pkgs in iocage 11.1-RELEASE jails seems to break some things, which are updating against 11.2 - https://reviews.freebsd.org/D11504 While FreeNAS 11.2-RC1 is now available I'd still prefer not to be running pre-release software even though its at least based on the latest version of FreeBSD 11.2. Even rolling back the jail to 3.6.0.49 (where everything seemed pretty stable) doesn't solve all the problems, as I think some of the problems are fixes with later beta releases. Why can't things be simpler
makarai 109 Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 (edited) just a guess: its most likely related to the pkg change of libx264 if it is indeed related to the quarterly package change Check the known issues section in: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/60971-new-freenas-package-for-testing/page-7&do=findComment&comment=619899 Edited October 22, 2018 by makarai 1
adrianwi 279 Posted October 22, 2018 Author Posted October 22, 2018 It maybe related to that, but I've rolled back to a 'working' snapshot. These were the other issues: https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/63612-downloaded-media-crashing/ https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/64335-atv-not-displaying-most-video/ I'll be glad once FreeNAS 11.2 is released and hopefully things start to stabilise again.
