How to connect emby media server to my outside private server?

Which one would you recommend? Because once I select windows and download that version, it picks up my home network as the server. This I don't want. I didn't see an option to connect another server

I don't think you understand the question. I just purchased emby premium. I did the windows download. After the download, emby server automatically connected to my local network/cpu. It generated my in home Lan access ip address. I want to be able to share my media files off a private server, not off my home network

Ok then I would suggest using the emby theater app for windows.

Hi.  On the screen where you select a server, there is an option to enter one manually.  Do that and enter your remote server address.

FYI. If anyone runs into the same issue trying to connect emby to a private server, you have to download emby onto the private server. But I kind of figured that out later on in the process
