That's just the Shield Experience version.  We need the exoplayer patch which fixes HDR with cropped content and the guy on nvidia says he isn't even aware of the problem :(

I have nothing more to say. I have no issues

So you have cropped content which is triggering HDR?  Remuxes work fine

Thanks for the wasted time today chasing our tails

I am not aware of a fix for this issue.  The hotfix mentioned is for the pause/stutter problems.  I did ask if, by chance, it also fixed this issue but never got any confirmation.

I can't imagine if there was a fix for this, that it would be secret.

Well, there was a fix for the stuttering that was a secret...

In the world of Shield users, this particular problem probably hits

In the world of Shield users, this particular problem probably hits <1% of them... (not Emby Shield users, but Nvidia Shield users)

No, as the Plex ATV app plays cropped HDR content, triggering HDR, without any issues.

Yeah, we're definitely 'small fry'. Same thing with Windows stuff. We're barely a blip on the radar :/

Does Plex use exoplayer or some other codec?   Is that something Emby could use instead?

We believe Plex uses their own version of exoplayer.

Is there any update on this issue? I received an update for Emby on my shield today which did not contain a fix. I really want to start using Emby again instead of Plex

I receive a new non-official patch yesterday from Nvidia

Are you sure it has an impact on the issue in this thread (HDR not engaging on cropped videos)?

I need test the file from the other day to do the test of that cropped issue.

Please send me the link

Edited: My not cropped content works smooth than before.

Really

Why are you even taking part in this thread if you don't have any cropped content.

Oh , thank you very much for your stupid sarcasm and none help in your comment.

I do it because maybe I'm stupid and I'm trying to help to the community, with you included.

Are you part of the Emby Team? Are you aware that you are bullying a member that pay a subscription?

Sorry for the answer, but frankly, that is not a way to treat any member in this forum. especially if there is a clear interest to help and not destroy as you do.

But you're not contributing anything to the discussion. Your comments on the Github session wasted everyone's time as well.

You don't have any cropped content, but you're using a non-official patch to fix an issue you don't have

Once nvidia release an official fix, then people who have the issue can test it.

You had the same patch at that time? Do you have the new one from yesterday?

You are very confused.

I had no problem with that file when i post what i got after test that file and that was what i reported on Github. Is not my problem if not worked in your device.

Does the latest patch that you have fix 'cropped' files HDR playback?

Your previous posts on the subject screwed the discussion, as the patch you mentioned wasn't even for the cropped content issue being discussed in this thread and on the Github issue.

You wasted a lot of people's time when you posted about the patch and it turned out worthless.

So where is the link to this patch?

How have you got it when no-one else has?

Why hasn't there been an update on the Github issue of this patch is from Nvidia?

Due to your previous comments, it's hard to believe what you're saying.

Why would you even try and look for a patch if you don't have the issue.
