juanolator 0 Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 Attached is a screen grab of an error I get when trying to install Emby Theater for Windows. Also attached is a Windows event log file dump (remove the *.txt extension) of what I believe is the same error Thanks EmbyTheaterWindowsInstallFailure.evtx.txt
Luke 42078 Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 Hi, this is most likely just a download failure. It is a large download. Can you give it a try again later? Thanks.
juanolator 0 Posted October 14, 2018 Author Posted October 14, 2018 Thanks. I was able to install it by going through the Microsoft Store.
Luke 42078 Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 The desktop version has a more robust video player if you can get that download to complete, just fyi.
wbravin 3 Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 Hello all New to freenas and to emby. I migrated from N4F to freenas in order to simplify my life. Freenas is running almost perfectly a few issues with some disks. I installed the emby plugin in freenas and i for the web interface for the client. when i login it then asks me for a server name and port number. regardless if i put the freenas IP or the allocated ip for emby jail 192,168.1.58 and leave the port number as default i get a connection failure error what is the correct server address i should enter (freenas or EMby) and what port number should i use? Thank you for responding to such a banal question
Luke 42078 Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Hi @@wbravin, what app are you using? Is this the hosted emby web app?
wbravin 3 Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Hi @@wbravin, what app are you using? Is this the hosted emby web app? Thank you for replying I used freenas as a platform and installed its plugin. Then i went to the web gui (after downloading the client form your site )and followed the process. when it came to adding a server i inserted the ip address that freenas gave me for the Jail. The jail and the plugin are up . now i'm stuck at this point. what have i done incorrectly? thank you
Luke 42078 Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 Open your emby server dashboard and observe the local address that is displayed on the front page of the emby server dashboard. Try entering that address into Emby Theater.
