and a library icon:

To appear in every single device we use.

Hi.  Maybe I don't understand the request but you can customize these images to be whatever you want now.

Sorry if I wasn't clear about my request, what I meant is for example, when I open Emby on my Android TV device, what I see in every library icon are thumbnails of the content inside, like album arts in the music library, or movie posters in the movie library, what I wanted is to hide those and instead to display only a single icon representing the type of content like the movie icon in the picture above, a music icon for music library, a photos icon, etc., obviously that icon should be bigger and also colorful, you're saying we can customize them but how do I do that?

Cool!, but I guess this is part of the beta because on the ATV and mobile apps I can't do this.

My mistake, it's on the web version, I found it.

This is how it looks but It's not what I expected, for example, the music library shows the correct icon, the movie library does not, I also created separate libraries based in the same type of content like "Videos Musicales" which is a movie library with a different name so the icon should be the same as the movie library but it shows the name of the folder instead, the Android TV app doesn't show the icons either but a horrible folder icon, that's the purpose of this topic, to improve the way this folder icons appear in every device:

If you use custom images, then you need to provide them for each library.  Nothing is going to automatically derive them from some other library.

However, this

Even worse!, if I rescan the libraries again, thumbnails appear again! nooo!!

Should not be happening and, I think, is solved in the current beta.

You did provide actual images for those libraries and not just delete the ones that were there correct?

Ok, I'll wait for the next stable release.

I just deleted the images because I really don't like those thumbnails, then I rescan the library and they appeared again, I didn't add any custom images.

Okay, well that isn't going to work.

Find images you like and supply them for each library.  There are some nice ones down in the "Community Contributions" forum that people have created.
