Richard Branches 330 Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 Please, add an option to switch between: a thumbnail icon: and a library icon: To appear in every single device we use.
ebr 16184 Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 Hi. Maybe I don't understand the request but you can customize these images to be whatever you want now.
Richard Branches 330 Posted October 14, 2018 Author Posted October 14, 2018 Hi. Maybe I don't understand the request but you can customize these images to be whatever you want now. Sorry if I wasn't clear about my request, what I meant is for example, when I open Emby on my Android TV device, what I see in every library icon are thumbnails of the content inside, like album arts in the music library, or movie posters in the movie library, what I wanted is to hide those and instead to display only a single icon representing the type of content like the movie icon in the picture above, a music icon for music library, a photos icon, etc., obviously that icon should be bigger and also colorful, you're saying we can customize them but how do I do that?

Richard Branches 330 Posted October 14, 2018 Author Posted October 14, 2018 Cool!, but I guess this is part of the beta because on the ATV and mobile apps I can't do this.

Richard Branches 330 Posted October 14, 2018 Author Posted October 14, 2018 This is how it looks but It's not what I expected, for example, the music library shows the correct icon, the movie library does not, I also created separate libraries based in the same type of content like "Videos Musicales" which is a movie library with a different name so the icon should be the same as the movie library but it shows the name of the folder instead, the Android TV app doesn't show the icons either but a horrible folder icon, that's the purpose of this topic, to improve the way this folder icons appear in every device:
Richard Branches 330 Posted October 14, 2018 Author Posted October 14, 2018 This is how it should appear, this icons or the icons you consider should appear instead:
Richard Branches 330 Posted October 14, 2018 Author Posted October 14, 2018 (edited) Even worse!, if I rescan the libraries again, thumbnails appear again! nooo!! Edited October 14, 2018 by delacosta78
ebr 16184 Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 If you use custom images, then you need to provide them for each library. Nothing is going to automatically derive them from some other library. However, this Even worse!, if I rescan the libraries again, thumbnails appear again! nooo!! Should not be happening and, I think, is solved in the current beta. You did provide actual images for those libraries and not just delete the ones that were there correct?
Richard Branches 330 Posted October 14, 2018 Author Posted October 14, 2018 Should not be happening and, I think, is solved in the current beta. Ok, I'll wait for the next stable release. You did provide actual images for those libraries and not just delete the ones that were there correct? I just deleted the images because I really don't like those thumbnails, then I rescan the library and they appeared again, I didn't add any custom images.

Okay, well that isn't going to work. Find images you like and supply them for each library. There are some nice ones down in the "Community Contributions" forum that people have created.
