FFMPEG - Multiple devices for Hardware Decode/Encode

Does FFMPEG support IDing 1 device to handle hardware DECODING and 1 device to handle the encoding or does the decoding hardware and decoding software have to be the same single device?

 

Ideally I'd like to use my Quicksync Intel Graphics to do the video DECODING and my Quattro K2000 to do the encoding. Is this possible?

I believe it's possible, yes, but we haven't exposed that kind of configuration at this point.
