spon 26 Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 (edited) Hi everyone, I'm running into a weird problem today. I daily connect to my Emby server from my work machine and play content via emby connect. This morning, I can connect and browse my library, as normal, but am not able to play anything. When I try to play, I just get the spinning icon. The relevant part of my server log is below. Thanks! edit: server log attached in reply below. Edited October 10, 2018 by spon
Luke 42086 Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 Hi there, please attach the complete emby server log. Thanks.
spon 26 Posted October 10, 2018 Author Posted October 10, 2018 (edited) server log attached. Thank you!! embyserver-63674765412.txt Edited October 10, 2018 by spon
spon 26 Posted October 11, 2018 Author Posted October 11, 2018 I was able to play media using emby connect on other networks, so it looks like the problem is somewhere with my work network. If anyone has any thoughts, let me know, but I'm pretty sure this isn't actually an Emby issue.
Luke 42086 Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 Does the browser debug console show any errors?
spon 26 Posted October 11, 2018 Author Posted October 11, 2018 Does the browser debug console show any errors? Hi Luke. I'm not very familiar with the debug console, but I've attached what shows there when I attempt to play a file.
Luke 42086 Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 Strange, there's just a failure there to download a required script file. Aside from making sure your connection is not having any problems, I am not sure what to say.
daedalus 434 Posted October 11, 2018 Posted October 11, 2018 @@spon just a little reminder, you should secure your emby users accounts, expecially the admin one with your premium key, even with a password for access outside your local network
Solution spon 26 Posted October 18, 2018 Author Solution Posted October 18, 2018 Thanks @@daedalus. I'll do so now. Also, this issue was resolved with the latest Windows 10 update. Just in case someone comes across this post later. 1
