Hi,

I tried Chrome and IE Edge to login to the Emby portal - all good

But when I use IE 11, it just shows a black page, not sure if this browser version is supported? or I'm missing something..

Thank you in advance!

Hi, try just visiting:

http://localhost:8096

Yes IE11 is supported, although not recommended.

Yeah.. I tried to open from the server itself, using http://localhost:8096 it gives me a black screen, while Chrome and Edge will do fine.. hmm..

Thanks for the report. I cannot reproduce this. It  might be due to old IE security settings.

@@Happy2Play may know more about this. Thanks !

@@Luke I get the same thing when using hostname:8096 (win10 v1709, new IE then listed above), but if you use lanip:8096 it works.  No issues on WHS2011 with IE (older version than listed above).

What OS are you having issues with IE 11, most of my Windows 10 machines no longer have IE on them?

I tried Win10 and Win7 using IE11.. the URL only loads a black screen

Not sure if I miss-configured the emby server? but the weird thing is yes if you use IP instead of hostname, it's loads the emby portal..

Actually it look like it is do to Compatibility View.  Once I unchecked "Display intranet site in Compatibility View" Emby loaded without issue

Console showed this

http://server:8096/ is running in Compatibility View because 'Display intranet sites in Compatibility View' is checked.

This test was on Window 10.

@@Luke Don't know if it means anything but this is the error with compatibility view enabled.

Tested on Windows 7 also and Emby loads once setting is unchecked.

Yea having compatibility view enabled is not going to work.
