Skyecairns 1 Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 In Kodi my downloads go to where the video file resides and is available whenever I open up the video. Is there some way in Embycon addin for Kodi I can do a similar thing?
Skyecairns 1 Posted October 9, 2018 Author Posted October 9, 2018 My Emby server is on my pc. I did what you indicated and all is well on my pc but I can't get the subtitles to download on my other devices. If I use File Direct Path on my tablet I can't run the video I get the message "One or more items failed to play" if I leave playback to HTTP Direct Stream I can play the video but can't download the subtitles although they do appear during the playback just don't download into a file on my server/pc. When I use Kodi directly the files download directly to my pc in the location of my video. What am I missing?
Skyecairns 1 Posted October 9, 2018 Author Posted October 9, 2018 (edited) Problem NOT solved. In the past I have been using OpenSubtitles.org(Unofficial) and Podnapisi.net for my subtitles. They don't work. I've changed my choice to OpenSubtitles.org and it ONLY works on PC . Thanks for your help. Edited October 10, 2018 by Skyecairns
Skyecairns 1 Posted October 10, 2018 Author Posted October 10, 2018 Actually my problem is not solved. I was on the PC when subtitles started to work. On my other devices still a no go. I can download automatically when I change my profile but some are out of sync with the video I'd prefer to be able to download the the way Kodi can on a video by video basis. Its odd that it works in kodi and using the embycon addon it no long works as I'm still in kodi. I'm registered with opensubtitles and directories are shared at least in windows am I suppose to add sharing somewhere in embycon? As Kodi can download without a hitch I can't believe sharing is an issue. I'd prefer to stay with Emby but this is very annoying. Thanks for any help.
