NoUserName 0 Posted October 8, 2018 Posted October 8, 2018 In my household after the upgrade to 1.5 or another, every iOS device worked with the exception of a IPad Mini 2. Video would start, stutter and then die after a flash, having to reboot the app. Tweaks like logging back in and out would work once, but not really a solution. Some really low bandwidth stuff would work? No updates or even the upgrade to iOS 2 seemed to fix the problem. Today I was looking at all the devices in Server Manager -> Devices, realized there were too many entries for it to be helpful (388) and too slow to delete them one by one. So I went right to the DB and cleared out the acessTokens and Tokens tables. For good measure I cleared out the devices folder in data -> devices as well. So far it's working with everything I've thrown at it even after app restarts and logouts. Maybe the not so nuclear option would be to delete the offending device for Server Manager -> Devices and see if that works for you.
jscoys 147 Posted October 15, 2018 Posted October 15, 2018 (edited) @@Luke if It can help you: I had the same issue with my iPad mini from 2014 with iOS 12. Don’t know why but I deleted the app and then reinstalled it from scratch and it worked better right away. Since then, I can see that every time I use it it’s become slower and slower... so maybe it’s something related to the space used for buffering/logs... one day you told me MPV was writing a log file locally on devices, are you sure it’s deactivated? Or maybe it’s something else that Emby iOS app is writing on the devices that is becoming bigger and bigger and finally slowing down the oldest devices so they finish to crash...? Luke 42077 Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 Intermittent video crashes are resolved in Emby for iOS 1.6.4. Thanks guys. 1
