TheTabman 6 Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 (edited) Hi, In my Anime folder I have one series that Emby correctly identifies as "Shomin Sample", but the actual episode files in the "Season 01" and "Specials" folder are not found by Emby. Emby can see, and use, the banner etc images, but not the MP4 and MKV files. Also, there are no thumb images created for this series. I tired removing the complete series folder, deleting the series in Emby, and then adding the folder again. But Emby still adds only the series as such, but not any of the episodes from it. Of course I also tried manually refreshing the library and also restarting Emby (just in case). The other 800+ series folders in the main folder are correctly indexed with all media files and can be played normally, only "Shomin Sample" isn't. Drives me crazy A text file Shomin Files.txt with the "Shomin Sample" folder structure is attached to this post. I also attached is a server log file Emby Log shomin.txt. If you search for "shomin sample" you'll probably find a bunch of times when I deleted, added, and moved the folder around. Edited October 7, 2018 by TheTabman
Luke 42080 Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 Hi, Are you using supported naming conventions for TV? https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/TV%20naming Thanks !
TheTabman 6 Posted October 8, 2018 Author Posted October 8, 2018 Yes, I do. For the series in question the folder/file structure is: Shomin Sample Season 01 s01e01 - [JacobSwaggedUp] Shomin Sample - 01 (BD 1280x720).mp4 s01e02 - [JacobSwaggedUp] Shomin Sample - 02 (BD 1280x720).mp4 e.t.c. Specials s00e01 - [&] Shomin Sample - SP 01 [bD][720p-AAC][bC80CB8E].mkv s00e02 - [&] Shomin Sample - SP 02 [bD][720p-AAC][6DDE39B5].mkv e.t.c. Like I wrote, the 800+ other series are correctly indexed with exactly the same folder and file naming convention.
Solution Luke 42080 Posted October 8, 2018 Solution Posted October 8, 2018 Currently anything with the name sample is ignored. It's something we can look at revising in the future. thanks. 1
TheTabman 6 Posted October 8, 2018 Author Posted October 8, 2018 (edited) Thanks for letting me know. Now I can just rename it to something else and then manually identify it correctly in Emby. Thanks again. Edit: I didn't even need to manually identify the series. I left the main directory as "Shomin Sample" and just replaced it in the file names with "Shomin Sanpuru" and all episodes were correctly identified. Edited October 8, 2018 by TheTabman
