pir8radio 1312 Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 As a method to help trouble shoot, is there any way under the tuners page you can show something that shows how many tuners are in use for each device? Kind of like the attached image showing 2 active tuners. This will help identify why recordings didn't happen, or help me to see how close i'm coming to my tuner limit. I know i can count whats going on on the dash board, but this would make "stuck" tuners and what not easier to troubleshoot as well.. 5
Carlo 4561 Posted October 4, 2018 Posted October 4, 2018 (edited) We used to have something like this in Emby but it was removed. I miss it. I whipped up something in a couple of minutes that seems to work well for me: If this will help the attached html is simple and you just need to adjust it for your IPs and devices. You could add a meta fresh but I removed it because I might look at a specific tuner and it would refresh on me always at the wrong time. I just keep this open on in chrome and have the html file book marked so it's easy to open. hdhomerun.html Edited October 4, 2018 by cayars 2
pir8radio 1312 Posted October 6, 2018 Author Posted October 6, 2018 Another reason for something like post #1 says, its tough to troubleshoot when streams are not working, I don't know how many are in progress so i dont know if its due to x amount of active streams at the same time, Its hard to see that if people are watching the same channel that should only use one stream right? today I just cant tell whats going on with my streams vs watches/records... Being able to see "oh m3u tuner 1 has 3 active streams on it" would be a great help. 1
samuelqwe 317 Posted October 6, 2018 Posted October 6, 2018 This is an absolute must, especially for IPTV. Knowing how many tuners are in use is a critical tool to help properly troubleshoot Live TV issues. 1
pir8radio 1312 Posted December 29, 2018 Author Posted December 29, 2018 how many M3U streams are in use....
Luke 42079 Posted December 30, 2018 Posted December 30, 2018 It's possible to return in the future. Thanks. 1
pir8radio 1312 Posted May 18, 2019 Author Posted May 18, 2019 (edited) I'm revisiting this, its a PIA to troubleshoot live tv issues... I often want to come here and complain about emby, but its often not emby's fault... An ability for us to SEE live m3u streams in progress would be a great help..... right now my provider says i have 1 stream going, but I dont see anything in emby saying that I do... its a black hole for administration and troubleshooting. See first post. https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/63634-live-tv-stream-count/?p=631017 like the below would be a minimum start. I guess at a bare minimum it would be nice to at least see: Active Tuners 2 m3u, channel, task M3U1 164 Recording M3U1 5 Pir8Radio Edited May 18, 2019 by pir8radio 1
Carlo 4561 Posted May 19, 2019 Posted May 19, 2019 With more and more people using M3U providers vs HW tuners this is even more important then before. Most HW based tuners have some way to check tuner usage but this isn't the case for M3U internet based streams. 1
