So you're saying if I change the filenames before I add them to the server and make the " .eng.srt " a " _eng.srt ", then Open Subs will not add an additional file?

I'm saying you should rename "_eng.srt" to ".eng.srt", as they are named with the underscore currently, according your screenshot and apparently contrary to your impression.
