Mixed content Folder - movie files

Hi all. In my media library i have a root folder set to "mixed content".

Into this folder, I have TV series folders, single movie folders, single file movies.

Metadata for TV series are collected correctly. The same happens for movies oontained into specfic folder.

But for movies not in specific folders (movie file directly in root folder), metadata are not collected.

Just screenshot anf generic XML is generated, as the movie informations could not be found.

 

Browsing he media library from Media Browser web interface, for thiese movies i can upload images, but i have no chance to download "cloud images".

if i recreate the collection and set type to Movies, all metadata are collected for movies in specifico folders and for single file movies as well, but not for TV series.

 

Any suggestion ?

Have you tried using the editor to give those movies the proper tmdb ids?

 

Using the mixed content type is going to have some limitations.  You would probably be better served to break these out into different media folders with the proper types designated.

No, just use the web editor to enter the IDs.

Ok. I got it.

But External ID section is empty and i cannot add anything.

Maybe file is non even recognized as a movie ?

Exactly.  If you can't enter IDs then they aren't recognized as movies.  It sounds like you are mixing conventions as well as content types.  I really suggest you pick a convention (folders or no folders) and then also separate the content types.

In the same genre of question, is it possible? (what is the best way for me to include a movie with a tv show)

 

the bets example would be say the anime Naruto. is it possible for me to somehow display the movies in with the tv show. i really hate the specials organization for movies as tvdb has very little data about movies (themoviedb is much better).

 

Currently i have naruto organized as such

Naruto/Season 1/...

Naruto/Season 2/...

Naruto/Season 3/...

Naruto/Season 4/...

Naruto/Season 5/...

 

i want the movies to appear within Naruto root:

Naruto/Movies/movie1

Naruto/Movies/movie2

Naruto/Movies/movie3

 

or even directly

Naruto/movie1

Naruto/movie2

Naruto/movie3
