mika91 0 Posted October 3, 2018 Posted October 3, 2018 Hi, I need to choose between embycon or kodi for emby addons. get real file name when using kodi subtitles downloader (to identify webdl or HDTV tv show episode for example) medium size library (300 movies, 300 kids movies and 30 TV shows) usable with a customisable light skin (no lag on raspberry pi) After a quick embycon try, I can't get real filename when downloading subtitle. (and don't find anywhere option to enable it) With Emby for Kodi (I tested it 2 years ago), I think that using "direct path" should work: but not possible to use direct path on mobile devices. Thanks

Are you not able to setup the subtitles downloader server side? This way, it's available without messing around with Kodi subtitles add-on? Edited October 3, 2018 by Angelblue05
Skyecairns 1 Posted October 10, 2018 Posted October 10, 2018 Downloading subtitles on server side does work it's just that not all subtitles are created equal meaning many are out of sync with the audio. Hey Newbie are you able to download the subtitles at all? Other than on my pc where my emby server resides all my other devices (tablet,raspberry pi) can't download a physical file although subtitles do appear watching the video if done after requesting the download. The subtitles disappear if you go to another device or log out of video. None of these issues occurred in Kodi without the embycon addon.
