Hi Luke, this category of file structure has stopped working, in the past version, once the file finished playing the second file will continue seamlessly, I tried played several movies in this category both they fails to play the next file, I'm not sure if the log captured the events. Also, same issue with Kodi, I have reported on Kodi Forum for troubleshooting https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/63508-emby-v3121a-split-video-files-file-stacking/

\Movies\Avatar (2009)\Avatar (2009)-cd1.mkv

\Movies\Avatar (2009)\Avatar (2009)-cd2.mkv

Let me know if you require additional data and if you testing results.

What Emby app are you playing with?

Kodi, even when play through server machine, it will play the first movie but will not continue to the second one, which in prior knowledge was not an issue.

If you look at the item in the web app, does it show the additional part?

Yes it shows additional parts e.g Cd2 to Cd4, when Cd1 completed playing, Cd2 did not launch.

Please see attached log for events of files played in this type of structure

For right now that is expected behavior. The web app doesn't auto play pts 2-4, you have to play them manually.

It's on our list to improve this in the future. For the best possible experience I would recommend joining the files. Thanks.

I disagree with web does not support playing stacking, based on my knowledge It plays perfectly well before changes were made in the recent versions which I am sure at what version it stopped working.

Well, I am that kin about the server as I play all my media through Kodi , as you are aware of the issue I hope you sort solution in future release. Interest thing Kodi is not working for stacking I hope this not related since the server side stopped working. I shall see what Angelblue has to say on that.

Hi.  Why not just join those mkv files?  You'll get much better everything doing that.

The web app has never done that.
