NicCo 1 Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 Hi, I'm using Emby repository and the latest stable version avalaible. I would like to try the beta version so I read it's possible to use the zip version but if I do that, plugin auto update will not be avalaible in the future ? Or if a stable version is released in the repository, it will continue to auto update ? Thank you !
Angelblue05 4132 Posted September 30, 2018 Posted September 30, 2018 (edited) You'd have to update via side loading with every beta version. Since you only have the stable repo installed, it will only auto-update when stable is updated. The only thing is the dependencies are updated for beta, so if you want to revert back to stable, you'll need to reinstall the stable dependencies. kodi.emby.media is where you get everything, Add that as a source to Kodi, that way you can directly install zips from it. Everything is under public testing. You have to first install the beta dependencies. Then install emby for kodi 3.1.x and you should be good to go. When updating, look again under public testing, the build will be there to update from. Edited September 30, 2018 by Angelblue05
