Oracle 85 Posted September 28, 2018 Posted September 28, 2018 Hey, I am in the process of burning all of my professional wrestling DVD collection and am utilizing the additional parts mechanism for organization in my file system. The problem I seem to be having is that I am able to view the .nfo file for the first part, but it appears as if an .nfo file doesn't save for the additional parts. Is this an error in my system or does this not happen? - Arly
Luke 42085 Posted September 28, 2018 Posted September 28, 2018 Not really because there's never a detail screen for these, therefore there's no real metadata to look at.
Oracle 85 Posted September 28, 2018 Author Posted September 28, 2018 Ahh, I see. Only curious because I will be doing a full server rebuild around November-December due to the purchase of and transferring to a new PC to run Emby Server software off of and I wanted to make it as flawless and easiest as possible. Could this be a feature in the future? Or would I better off setting up these two or more disc sets up as television series instead inside a Mixed Content library?
Luke 42085 Posted September 28, 2018 Posted September 28, 2018 For what reason would it need to be a feature?
Oracle 85 Posted September 28, 2018 Author Posted September 28, 2018 Reconfiguration of servers, for one. I would imagine if you change the name of the additional part through Emby, once you rebuild, it will revert back to the original name, no?
Luke 42085 Posted September 28, 2018 Posted September 28, 2018 That's not even something that's really supposed to be configurable. It's really only configurable by accident. It sounds to be like you should just make them separate videos altogether.
Oracle 85 Posted September 28, 2018 Author Posted September 28, 2018 I gotcha. I think I am going to configure these multi-disc sets as TV series to make it easier for my user base to view and myself to organize.
