bflagg 2 Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 (edited) I can usually connect to a channel with Emby using ServerWMC, but If there is a problem, especially on the client side...(Roku TV, Web, Samsung TV ) a crash may occur on the client and I'm forced to restart, but on the server side...the channel is still running and taking up Hard drive space. How can I stop this from happening. Shouldn't there be a agent or task to see if the calling client is still alive and to terminate the channel from caching if not (ie.. once every 5 minutes)..? moving this to general windows.. sorry for the miss post Edited September 27, 2018 by bflagg

I not entirely sure if this is a Emby specific issue or ServerWMC... or even both... Brett Edited September 27, 2018 by bflagg
Luke 42083 Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 It should do this within a few minutes.
bflagg 2 Posted October 1, 2018 Author Posted October 1, 2018 unfortunately It didn't. after a few days of the roku issue I posted in the roku thread here,,,the caching was going on 3 streams until I ran out of HD space... Had to boot into safe mode and delete those files...
Luke 42083 Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Hi there, can we look at an example? Please attach the information requested in how to report a problem. thanks !
bflagg 2 Posted October 9, 2018 Author Posted October 9, 2018 Hi luke,, the logs I had have been overwritten since then...But if it's any help, from my roku post the logs are attached for that... https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/63383-live-tv-play-back-from-roku-error/ Thanks !
Luke 42083 Posted October 14, 2018 Posted October 14, 2018 @@bflagg Thanks, we'll test this out and make sure that if you force close the app during live tv playback, that the server recognizes this and terminates the live stream. 1
