Refresh Guide task during an internet outage

Hey there, my refresh guide task ran while my internet was out today. Afterwards I had no guide data and the Schedule tab for Live TV section was empty-- is this expected?

 

I would have thought it would fall back to the existing guide data if no connection to Schedules Direct was made, let the 14 days of data available run out before replacing with an empty guide. In this case it would only be 1 day behind by the default task setting. Luckily I was able to hotspot my phone to re-run the task so I can still record our shows tonight.
