Resume non-functional on XBox 380 extenders

A movie started on xbox 360 then either paused or stopped, then the xbox turned off, return to the xbox and go to the movie, the resume, if available, restarts the movie.  Typically, the resume option is not available.

 

Using the same procedure, starting movie on xbox, pause or stop, turn off the xbox, and go to MB classic on the HTPC, the resume is available and functions as expected.
