Date of TV Shows not correct

Recommended Posts

In short:

having a TV Show in the library with start first episode from 2001 end last episode from 2001 shows below the poster "2001 - 2001".

I think this is wrong.

Maybe it would be better to only display "2001".

Edit

on TV Shows with no end date there is also an issue.

It displays "2001-Today" without any space before and after the dash.

Why is that a problem?

This is just an inconsistency of the GUI.

Fixable in less than a minute.

Can you show a screenshot? It should say 2001-Present. Thanks.

It is showing that. But the space before and after the dash is missing.

When showing e.g. "2001 - 2005" there are 2 spaces.

Regarding look and feel it would be nice to have it all the same.

Emby is open source right?

Are people on github allowed to make changes too?

If so I would do it if you don't want.

So where do you see 2001 - 2001?

Posted (edited)

Just set up an TV show with release date, year and last episode date all within the same year.

Then Emby shows e.g. "2001 - 2001".

Btw: reading my first post would have answered your question.

Is this an issue or is it how you want it is getting displayed?

Should be maybe only "2001" in this case

And the second (YYYY-Present) should have spaces because the one above (e.g. 2001 - 2003) has spaces too,

Improves look and feel and consistency.

Question:

is it possible to make changes to Emby on Github and help you with "simple" stuff like that?

@@Luke - its in web client - if thats what the OP is referring to as he has not made it clear

With poster card in Stable and show year in Beta for a TV library

Both servers show a space either side of the "-" even with present

And yes 2001 - 2001 does show - actually i prefer this to just 2001

Last question:

can I also make this changes on my local installation on my linux server in docker?

Like this I wouldn't bother anyone on github.
