Guest Normal Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 (edited) On android and on the web app the premium message shows up way too often. Using the web app I can close it via the X button. On Android there is no such option to close that annoying message which takes a lot of space. Many people don't want premium, doesn't matter how often Emby ask to get it. Please increase the time to about once a month and add a close button to the android app. Edited September 23, 2018 by Normal
ebr 16199 Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 So, you are upset because you cannot use the system completely for free without this message and we should make that easier?
Guest Normal Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 (edited) I'm not upset but more than twice a week is just too much. You could also show it twice a day but people who do not wan't premium wouldn't buy it then too. Edited September 23, 2018 by Normal
Guest Normal Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Edit: got that message just again. Not even one week. This needs to be changed. Premium is not a solution to get nag-ware removed.
ebr 16199 Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Actually, this is one of the features of Emby Premiere. You no longer get these messages. This is no different than many, many other "free" apps and items that support themselves with external ads - unless you purchase something to remove them. We don't have, and don't plan to have, external ads but we do reserve the right to remind you that you are using a very sophisticated system of software for free. Thanks.
Guest Normal Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 (edited) You are right with your "free" arguments. And I really appreceate that you won't implement any ads in the future. This is why I love Emby and I think 99% of the other people too. But once a week would be completely enough to show that premium message to the users. Like in my case more than 3 times a week is just make people go away instead of paying. I don't talk about me. I continue using emby. Edited September 25, 2018 by Normal
Bert 49 Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 People will either go away or pay, I think that's the idea. Otherwise you have freeloaders asking for support who aren't contributing.
