Recording Conflicts when you have live watchers

This is a general question. I could test it, but I will just ask the community. If all of the tuners are in use when a scheduled recording is ready to record, will it notify any users that are watching live to get out? I know Emby will not handle conflicts if more recordings are scheduled than you have tuners, yet. But, this use case is when a tuner is in use by someone watching live, what should Emby do. My XFinity box will ask them a few minutes ahead of time if they want to cancel the recording or exit out and release the tuner.

Nope - Emby conflict resolution is limited to non at the moment - in your case the recording would fail unless the recording channel is being watched by a user then it might still work - you would have to try it.

 

emby does support multiple users watching the same show IIRC and will only use one tuner to do this - i.e. shares the stream
