Choose Which "Latest Media" to show in Home Menu

There is a Home Screen section settings option to display "Latest Media".

 

It's great for movies and hockey games I missed.

 

What it isn't great for (at least for me) is Music and TV shows (minus hockey).

 

What I would like to be able to do is choose which "latest media" I want to see.  Because, for instance, nearly all the TV I watch shows up in Next Up and I typically don't need to see what the new release is.

Hi.  Have you explored the home screen settings in the user menu in the web app?

Oh yes,  now I have, thanks.  I thought they were for displaying the categories in "My Media" because of the view options below (and since I wanted them all displayed I never bothered to uncheck any of them them).

The problem is when I unclick TV Emby removes TV entries from Next Up AND Latest Media.  I want one or the other, not both.  Is this possible?

Personally I just remove Next Up and use Latest TV.  But yes unchecking "Display in home screen sections such as latest media and continue watching" removes Next Up also.

Did something change on "Latest TV Shows" inbetween beta mini-releases? I could swear that in .43 or around that, clicking on "Latest TV Shows" would also take me to the "next airing" regarding TV Shows I have on my personal collection (which was great).

 

Or was it moved to other section? I loved that.

when you click that it should take you to an even larger list of latest shows.

No "Latest TV Shows" takes you to the Suggestions page.  Next Up takes you Next Up page.

Well depending how you use Emby, you could use Custom CSS.

 

Note "section" will be whatever section you have set Latest Media to on Home Screen settings, and the child element is dependent on your Library Order.  If your TV library is first you can use this, but say it is fourth then change the one to a four.

Although that would be a feature I would be very interested in seeing, it's the opposite of what I'm asking.

 

In order to get TV in Next Up and Latest Movies I have to also have Latest TV present.  Latest TV and Next Up are mostly redundant, so I'd like to ditch Latest TV and keep Next Up.  But that doesn't seem possible.

That is only true if you watch everything as it is aired/added to your system.  That is not how I use Emby or consume content as I like to stack up a lot of episodes and then be able to watch them at my leisure.  So, in that case, Latest, and Next Up are completely different things (also in the case of re-watching series).

 

But, I understand that you are requesting to split the options for those apart.
