5.3.0 Update Stuck in Loop

I have downloaded the new update but every time I restart my server it is never applied.

It consistently says:

 

 

Pending Installations

The following components have been installed or updated:

MBServer (3.5.3.0)

Please restart the server to finish applying updates.

 

I am using firefox to access the dashboard

I ran into the same situation. I had to right click on the emby icon in the tray and exit the server and then re-open from the start menu. It then updated.

I would suggest shutting down the server and then installing the update manually from the website. Please let us know if this helps. Thanks.

Do you mean running the normal installation for the newest version? Would all of my settings stay in-tact? Or can I download just an update? Thanks

Yes, it would just install on top of your existing version. You can always update that way if you have an issue with the automatic update.
