Let go of chromecast like other apps do

I am using several apps to cast to my chromecast and switching between them is very easy: If I'm currently casting from App A and then start casting fron App B, App A releases the chromecast and lets App be take over. Tbis is incredibly convenient.

 

But Emby behaves very differently. Once it is casting to chromecast, it will not let go of it. causing other apps to crash (because the can't connect to the chromecast) or to stall until I manually tell Emby to stop casting (and thereby to release the chromecast). The fact that you have to confirm twice (!) that you want to stop casting doesn't really help either.

 

So, please, could you please let Emby behave like any other chrmoecasting app instead of monopolising it?

Hi, simply disconnect from emby and it will do that.

I don't understand your reply. I'm saying: I don't want to manually disconnect (and confirm thst I want to disconnect) emby from chromecast and you say "just disconnect it and it will disconnect by itself"?
