mrt86 0 Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 Curious if anyone knows why my Emby server (Windows) won't allow me to add any new users? Every time I try to add someone the confirmation email never gets through to them. I have posted a log below with an attempt to add someone. 2018-09-19 04:24:14.543 Info HttpServer: HTTP Response 200 to ::1. ebr 16185 Posted September 19, 2018 Posted September 19, 2018 The issue is probably a spam trap on the receiving end.

Yea, that term "Local" is probably a bit Mis-leading, but it just means setting up remote access locally. Be sure to go thru all the permissions and negate deletions, recording or whatever else you deem necessary. I added my Brother in St Louis and he connects just fine. Probably a good idea to hide your Admin account from the log-on screen unless you want remote users to have admin access. Edited September 19, 2018 by EODCrafter

Even when I tried to send an invite to that account Emby was telling me that user did not exist/email...(WHICH it does I can log in to the forums, post stuff if I wanted to, change the account name/password) It seems to be some sort of issue with that specific account and email... I made a new account with a separate email and it seems to have worked. The account got the invite via email and now has access to the server locally. Going to run some remote tests tomorrow and see how it goes. Thanks for the help thus far everyone!
