Restore from backup

Hi, when I perform a restore from a previous partition backup, is it possibile to keep Emby configuration?

For example: If now I perform a restore of the yesterday backup, every movie I've seen today will be set as not seen yet!

Thanks!

Hi ,to learn how to backup, please check out our wiki:

Please let us know if this helps. Thanks !

Regarding the procedure to restore the library.db, is the same thing if I wanted to restore this file on the same installation of Windows where the file comes from, but from a backup of the day before?

I don't believe the plugin will work in this scenario, restoring previous days backup as the played status is already in the database.

Only way I see this working is marking all libraries as unplayed via multi-select then restoring the user data from the selected day.

No, I'm referring to the manual procedure. I mean...If I overwrite the yesterday library.db file with the today library.db file, could I have problems in the future?

My goal is: Copy today's library.db file on a network folder, then restore yesterday partition backup (where Windows is installed on), then overwrite the actual library.db file with the one saved before. Because sometimes I need to restore previous Windows backup, but preserve all the Emby settings, including viewed movies and all the changes made by users.

If you have no newly added media in that time frame you shouldn't have a issue doing that.
