Kaufempfehlung für neues NAS

Namd,

zur Zeit besitze ich eine Synology DS916+ und leider ist es bald vorbei mit dem Speicherplatz.

 

Ich könnte zwar jetzt auf 4x12TB Umsteigen aber ich glaube nicht dass sich das für die 8TB mehr lohnt.

 

 

Daher suche ich seid einiger Zeit nach einem neuem fertig NAS.

 

Ich hab zwar auch mal darüber Nachgedacht mir ein Eigenbau NAS zu zulegen aber ich befürchte mir Fehlt die Zeit

 

für das Einrichten und vor allem für die Systempflege. Des Weiteren ist die dort beschriebene Hardware zu alt bzw. nicht mehr erhältlich. Mal abgesehen davon dass ich mir dafür erst einmal sehr viel Lesestoff reinziehen müsste.

Es sollte auf jeden Fall ein min. 8-bay NAS oder NAS Server Tower sein und bestens für den Einsatz als Emby Media Server geeignet sein. Zur zeit spiele ich mit dem Gedanken mir eine Synology DS1817+ zu holen und vielleicht ist ja hier jemand der ebenfalls eine DS1817+ besitzt und mir seine Erfahrungen mitteilen kann.

 

 

Es muss aber auch nicht zwingend eine Synology werden.

 

Falls jemand was anderes Empfehlen kann und damit selbst sehr gute Erfahrungen gemacht hat bin ich für jeden Tipp sehr dankbar. Preislich sollte das ganze aber nicht mehr als 1300 Euro kosten.

Hallo, ich denke, die DiskStation DS1817 ist eine gute Wahl.

 

QNAP ist auch großartig.

i have a 853a (the most popular QNAP range of NAS) - which works fine for Emby - although transcoding is not really an option as the cpu is not powerful enough for more than one 1080p stream

 

But i dont need to transcode as my content is already in a format that can direct play on my clients - Nvidia Shield

 

Emby runs well and is snappy in use - with the latest beta changes making it a bit faster to use.

 

there are numerous Intel or Ryzen based NAS for QNAP - although they get expensive towards the middle and upper range and out of your price range

 

I would avoid anything with an ARM based cpu as they are generally underpowered - even the newer models - that applies to synology as well

After I searched here in the forum again a little more.

Have I found others, even if they are really outside my price range.

 

I found the following models:

 

QNAP TS-877-1700-16G NAS System 8-Bay

QNAP TVS-882-I5-16G NAS System 6-Bay

QNAP TS-1277-1600-8G NAS System 12-Bay

Ich habe noch eine andere Qnap gefunden die vielleicht interessant sein könnte.

Und zwar die QNAP TVS-1282-I3-8G NAS System 8-Bay, wäre zwar Preislich auch weit über meine

geplanten Ausgaben aber man könnte ja später einmal auf 32GB aufrüsten.

 

Mittlerweile denke ich das ich für ein schneller aktuelles NAS wohl mit zweitausend Euro rechnen muss.

Und um länger etwas davon zu haben sollte es ja schon mindestens ein Intel Core i3 sein oder nicht?

Momentan tendiere ich zu einer QNAP TS-877-1600 oder 1700 und einer QNAP TVS-1282-I3...

Läuft der Emby Server den generell auf jeder Qnap? oder auf was muss ich vor dem Kauf achten?

I found another Qnap that might be interesting.

The QNAP TVS-1282-I3-8G NAS System 8-Bay would be priced well above my budget, but i could upgrade it later to 32GB.

 

Meanwhile, I think that I have to expect a faster current NAS probably with two thousand euros.

And in order to have some much fun longer it should already be at least an Intel Core i3 or not?

QNAP is a great choice as well. Yes we have a QNAP package for Emby Server.
