Remote, live tv stutters, recording does not

An oddity (to me). I am remote for 2 weeks or so. If I play a given show on channel 10.1, live, it stutters. It's transcoding, don't have super fast internet. I have set 1.5 Mbps for streaming speed. I have 4Mbps upload pipe which is pretty reliable.

 

Now, let's say I record the same show from the same channel. Now I go to play it back, and, no stutter, same speeds of course.

 

I do notice when playing a recording, it will be transmitted to the remote device until the end of the program as fast as it can upload, so, massive buffer.

 

Perhaps, for live tv (which starts much faster than playing a recording) has a fixed small buffer?

When I get back home in a few weeks, yes. Currently at a place with fiber, and same result here, so it isn't my local bandwidth. This would imply the problem is on the Emby end.
