Remote access not possible for 1 user

Hi all,

 

First, i love Emby so far so i am now a Premiere user. I have a server running and share content with 2 friends (besides myself of course). One of them is able to enjoy Emby to the fullest, but unfortunately my other friend, is unable to connect. Whatever he tries to do no go, not even through the browser.

 

I do see both of them on my server side as linked through Emby Connect (Green cloud icon) and i have given them the exact same rights.

 

I have tried the connectivity guide but there are no issues. Can you please assist to find the solution?

Have you tried to log in on the other friends behalf remotely?  It could simply be your other friend is mistyping a password or something like that.  But given that 1 friend can and the other can't it sounds like user error on the 2nd friends fault.

 

Have you also verified that you haven't checked something in the user profile to not allow remote connections?

Thanks for the quick response. I will go over to his place and give the password solution a try and get back to you asap. I have verified that in the user profile remote connection is turned on.

Got it to work but only on his laptop (windows 7) and android tablet

 

With his Samsung TV F6000 series its not possible unfortunately. There is an 'undefined network error'. Lets hope the team from Emby will hear soon from Samsung so Emby users with samsung tv's are able to enjoy Emby to the fullest.

Have you made sure the Samsung has access to the internet?
