Images not refreshing

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am using Emby to play a slide-show of captured images.  The images are changed every 2 minutes by replacing the old one, the image name remains the same.  Emby shows the cached image, not the most recent version.  Is there a way to force Emby to display the newest image instead of the one it has cached?  I don't think the library is being refreshed because the filename doesn't change.

Along these lines, is there a way to force Emby to up-size the images.  I know it can down-size them, but these images are less than 1920x1080.  I can resize them externally, but I would like Emby to do it for me.

Thanks for your help,

Jeff

What OS?  Do you have Real time monitoring enabled on that Library?  Real time monitoring should see the updates in about 60 seconds assuming your OS supports it.

Right, you either need to enable the realtime monitor, or run a library scan.

Thanks for replying so quickly,

My server is running on Win7, 64 bit.

I double-checked that "Realtime Monitoring" is enabled.  I seems that the images will not refresh when the slide-show is running.  When I stop the slideshow the images update (within a minute or so).

Thanks,

Jeff

Yes it's true that you may need to restart the slideshow.
