[3.6.0.34] btls mono errors

I reinstalled FreeNAS, because why new beta came out and i was unsatisfied how my network was behaving. Since then i get some more errors when doing things.

That's an old version of emby server. I would suggest updating.

I really don't know. Sounds like your mono build is missing boring tls support. We haven't seen this in our testing.

this is really weird, i'll run another installation later and give you an update.

hmmm a fresh install pretty much does not work on freenas atm, the instruction dont really work any longer ( I updated my instructions here https://emby.media/community/index.php?/topic/60971-new-freenas-package-for-testing/?view=findpost&p=604009 , to reflect the necessary changes regarding proper networking) this will fix the btls error however a new error arises during the installation:

after fixing the btls error with proper networking everything seems to work this is an upgraded version coming from 3.5.2 to 3.6.0.34 to 3.6.040 attached a log of it.

Yes there is a change starting with the betas. We are now building against FreeBSD quarterly packages, rather than latest. This is to maximize stability. This means if you have your system configured for latest packages, you're going to run into this and there's not much we can do about it. You can read all about it here:

Unfortunately this is one of those things where we have to pick one or the other, and no matter which way we go, someone will have a problem.

 

3.5 is built against FreeBSD latest packages, however we've since decided it would be best to switch to stable.

@@Luke thank you for the post i followed this conversation as well.

 

I thought this might be an issue, however, i changed the repos file to 

FreeBSD: {
url: "pkg+http://pkg.FreeBSD.org/${ABI}/latest"
}

in order to get the latest packages, this unfortunately did not help. The weird lib issue was still there, btls error was gone.

 

Secondly if you download the emby-server.json it installs with freebsd11.1 which, according to you should not be the case. I suppose the json file was not really changed,
