RRo100 10 Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 Hello Luke, I have behaved on my LG since the last version: There is a kind of subtitle that I do not see on any other Emby device or e.g. can see with VLC. I would like to provide you with a MKV (about 500MB). PM only allows 90 MB. greeting
Luke 42077 Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 Sure, you could put it on dropbox or google drive. Thanks.
SamES 1057 Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 This is an embedded ASS type subtitle. It plays for me on Samsung, LG, the web client and also VLC. Can you please tell me more about your concern? Can you only see this on the LG app? Thanks.
RRo100 10 Posted September 13, 2018 Author Posted September 13, 2018 Hello, yes this special subtitle is only shown on the LG device. It is a subtitle that I know from German TV for deaf people. It is even described in the subtitle "Music is being played now".
Luke 42077 Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 It seems to work in our testing on all devices.
RRo100 10 Posted September 13, 2018 Author Posted September 13, 2018 Luke, I have attached some hardcopies from the series for you. Once Web Client and then LG Client
Luke 42077 Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. thanks !
SamES 1057 Posted September 14, 2018 Posted September 14, 2018 If you select the CC button in the web client, then select English, you will get the same subtitles you see in the LG Client
RRo100 10 Posted September 15, 2018 Author Posted September 15, 2018 OK, you're right. If I have switched off the subtitle on the LG, the English is still displayed. If I turn on the english subtitle, then I have the subtitle twice on the LG.
SamES 1057 Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 OK, this changes things. I guess your TV model is webos 1 or 2 (not 3 or 4). correct? If so, it is a known issue that we are trying to resolve with these older OS versions.
RRo100 10 Posted September 17, 2018 Author Posted September 17, 2018 Hello I have the software version 04.05.65 on the model 65UF9509-ZA and the webOS version is 2.2.2-339 https://www.lg.com/de/support/service-produkt/lg-65UF9509
SamES 1057 Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 Hello I have the software version 04.05.65 on the model 65UF9509-ZA and the webOS version is 2.2.2-339 https://www.lg.com/de/support/service-produkt/lg-65UF9509 Ok, then the problem you describe is a known issue with webos 2.x which we are aware of. Thanks
RRo100 10 Posted September 18, 2018 Author Posted September 18, 2018 Do you already have a solution, the subtitles are very annoying.
RRo100 10 Posted October 14, 2018 Author Posted October 14, 2018 The problem with the subtitles is very frustrating. I will then probably have to play my series with Plex, although I would have preferred Emby
RRo100 10 Posted December 24, 2018 Author Posted December 24, 2018 Hallo, gibt es einen neuen Status?
RRo100 10 Posted December 25, 2018 Author Posted December 25, 2018 Hi, you already wrote that 3 months ago. PS: If you like you can have a look at the innovative operation of the Plex Client by bublikoff (xplay-webos). Maybe you can take some ideas
Luke 42077 Posted December 25, 2018 Posted December 25, 2018 We are working on resolving this. Thanks.
Luke 42077 Posted February 10, 2019 Posted February 10, 2019 We have an update currently in LG review. Thanks.
