diaz1510 154 Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 An issue I've noticed with Auto-Organize recently, using 3.5.2.0 on a Windows 10 machine.Even though I have monitoring enabled, it will no longer auto-organize by itself. I've been getting shows in my monitored folder, but unless I go into the Server Dashboard, Auto-Organize and click "Organize" myself, it won't do it all, it will sit there for days even. It works fine once I click it, though. That wasn't the case in previous versions. Not sure if there is something I am supposed to have set since the latest update.Just as a note, in "Scheduled Tasks", Organize New Media Files is tasked to trigger every 0.08333333333333 hours (I didn't set that up)
Luke 42080 Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 Hi there, please discuss an example and see how to report a problem. Thanks.
diaz1510 154 Posted September 11, 2018 Author Posted September 11, 2018 Can't really give you a "specific" instance. It just NEVER auto auto-organizes the folder I have listed as the one to monitor as it used to do. If I don't physically go into the Emby Dashboard, go to Auto-Organize and select "organize", the shows will just sit in that folder. BUt as soon as I manually tell it to "organize", it will auto-organize any shows that are in the folder at that moment. It used to monitor that folder in real-time and almost immediately auto-organize by itself once something was placed into my monitored folder. I've attached my log file if that helps. embyserver.txt
Luke 42080 Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 OK, without discussing an example we can't really go much futher. Please keep in mind that Auto Organize is a community addition that is maintained by community volunteers such as @@PoppyPop. In order for them to best help you, I would suggest helping them by providing detailed information. The source code for AutoOrganize can be found here, and contributions are welcome: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Emby.AutoOrganize Thanks !
diaz1510 154 Posted September 12, 2018 Author Posted September 12, 2018 OK, I'm not really sure how much more specific I can be! It does it every time with every TV show in the monitored folder. It just WON'T monitor my folder in real time(or near real-time) as it used to. I need to manually hit the "Organize" button for it to initiate the Auto-Organize process... How else can I explain it? It doesn't do it with any particular show..it does it to ANYTHING in the monitored folder. @@PoppyPop...can you provide some insight or tell me how to better explain this?
Luke 42080 Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 Sounds to me like you disabled the auto-organize scheduled task, forgot that you did that, and now that has led you to think that something is wrong.
diaz1510 154 Posted September 13, 2018 Author Posted September 13, 2018 (edited) HAHAHA...@@Luke... I have literally done no such thing...everything is and has been enabled...the check box "Enable auto-organize for episodes" is checked and has always BEEN checked. I've made no changes to the way I auto-organize in ages and this is still occurring as we speak. And as I said earlier there is a Scheduled Task: Organize new media files Processes new files available in the configured watch folder. Task Triggers schedule Every 0.08333333333333333 hours If there is some other setting I need to enable or am doing something incorrectly with some sort of new change please advise, but as of now, I've got everything set as it has always been and still it doesn't work...I'm not excluding that I have missed something, but I need more help than just..."you probably did something wrong". I provided what you asked: the problem, the server logs, and what I've done to attempt to fix myself... Edited September 13, 2018 by diaz1510
Luke 42080 Posted September 13, 2018 Posted September 13, 2018 Ok, unfortunately I don't know the answer to this. I do not have the bandwidth to troubleshoot the auto-organize plugin, and will have to rely on community help for this. Thanks.
