Gina66 2 Posted September 11, 2018 Posted September 11, 2018 I am also having this issue and have been for at least a month now. This is happening in the web browser (Chrome), but also on the Emby Theater app. I have the exact same issue as the OP when using Chrome and when I start using the app, I'm able to play trailers apparently, but nothing else. It just loads and ultimately, the app gets frozen and I have force close it with the task manager. I know nothing is wrong with the files themselves, as I'm able to watch videos using VLC. I also have the most updated server.
Luke 42080 Posted September 20, 2018 Posted September 20, 2018 hi @@Gina66, can we look at an example? Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. thanks !
Gina66 2 Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 hi @@Gina66, can we look at an example? Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. thanks ! Hey there! Apologies for the lateness. So, I'm including some screen shots and the log from the browser version. The screen shots are from both the browser and the Emby theater app that I'm using. For the web version, I just get a Playback Error on anything I try to play, while in the Emby theater, none of the thumbnails show anymore AND when I play something, it just loads and loads and loads and basically freezes until I have to force close it. Again, this has been going on for months (maybe since July) and it's only Emby I'm having issues with - ie, the hard drive I'm pulling shows/movies from works correctly, I'm able to watch movies/shows via VLC or WMP. This was working previously and then stopped across my device. I also tried to use a backup to see if maybe I could go back to a previous installation, with no luck. The only other thing I haven't done is a complete reinstall, however I'm upgrading my desktop hopefully within a month, so I figured I would wait to do that - seeing as I'll have to reinstall everything anyway. Any help is appreciated! G66 emby server from web.txt
Luke 42080 Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Hi, was there an ffmpeg log? can you attach that too? thanks.
Luke 42080 Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Also what kind of drive is your F: drive? because it looks like this is your problem: System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'F:\Movies'. Your F: drive goes unavailable, and then you end up believing there's an Emby problem.

Your F: drive goes unavailable, and then you end up believing there's an Emby problem. Wow. I am dumb. That should be the E: drive, not F. Not sure why it was listed as F. The only drive that's usually the F drive is when I place a USB drive; the only thing I think of is my external drive, which holds all entertainment (including all movies and shows), where as the E drive just has the ones I'm likely to watch while on my PC. Do you think it could've switched? @@deallier That might be something for you to check, if you haven't. Needless to say, all's well now. I can't believe my brain didn't even pick up on it. As always, thanks for the help!
