roberthleeii 61 Posted September 10, 2018 Posted September 10, 2018 I have the backup plugin running on my computer so I can quickly get it backup and running if something goes wrong but Emby is my only TV source right now so I want to make sure if something happens to my server I can get back up and running ASAP. My tuners are networked and most of my media is on USB 3.0 external hard drives so I figured switching to a new computer in the house would be very easy. I imagine I can run 2 servers at the same time but is there a way for me to "flip a switch", switch the harddrives to the 2nd computer and have it take over my recordings, have the same users etc?
Luke 42077 Posted September 10, 2018 Posted September 10, 2018 Hi, no, you can backup and restore some settings but they are still two distinct servers.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted September 10, 2018 Posted September 10, 2018 FYI,unless there was a update, the "Server Configuration Backup" doesn't backup your recording timers/schedules. I don't do recording so not exactly sure of the files needed. But I believe they are in \Emby-Server\programdata\config (dependent on OS).

I might have to manually back those files up. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
