floppyhat 3 Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 (edited) An odd one here: when a TV series has a * character in the name (such as M*A*S*H, for example) it shows briefly after being added, and then seems to vanish from Kodi. It's still present and correct in Emby's web interface. I'm using add-on mode. I haven't tried with native playback mode yet, as I was advised to use add-on mode to allow selecting different movie versions. Changing the * character to anything else causes the series to reappear. (I thought to be clever and use ✽, the heavy teardrop-spoked asterisk character, but the skin's font doesn't go that deep into the Unicode character set — so currently I have "unknown glyph" characters where the asterisks should be. But at least I can watch the series!) Could something be treating * as a wildcard? Edited September 9, 2018 by floppyhat
Angelblue05 4132 Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 (edited) That's interesting. I'll have to test on my side, see if I can replicate this behavior. What version of the addon are you using? Kodi version? Edited September 9, 2018 by Angelblue05
floppyhat 3 Posted September 9, 2018 Author Posted September 9, 2018 Thanks — I'm using version 3.0.34 of the addon, against Kodi 17.6 (LibreElec 8.2.5, if that matters). Incidentally, I get offered different versions of the movie when I hit OK, if I have them, but I don't get offered any of the video files in the "extras" folder. Is there a way to get that to happen when using add-on mode, or does it need support in the skin?
