How does emby cast to Chromecast

If I cast to my chromecast from Emby for Android, will the Emby Server send content directly to the Chromecast (like Plex does)or will the server send content to my android app which will then stream to Chromecast?

I ask this because my android phone is an older model and is not powerful enough to handle HD video.
