djtman 5 Posted September 6, 2018 Posted September 6, 2018 I just have a quick question, are the database structures/folders/files the same on linux as the windows version? I would like to migrate to a linux server but keep both systems running in sync until I know that my new linux server is stable as I have active external family members using the win server on a regular basis. I have a utility that will sync the directories between the two but unsure if the structure is the same. Thank you in advance.

djtman 5 Posted September 6, 2018 Author Posted September 6, 2018 Specifically, I would like the user data (passwords, watch history, etc). I have the linux/windows boxes looking at the same directories with the content (movies, tv, music) already via shares/mappings, but I know I can't do the media (library.db) since the path's to the content are different between the two os's. Thank you!
Solution Luke 42077 Posted September 6, 2018 Solution Posted September 6, 2018 Ok we don't officially support doing that. I realize there are a few who may have figured something out, but we're not even testing it and therefore it would be liable to break at any given time. 1
